Concept
Cultural Reunification Celebrating PGVIM 10th Anniversary
Eligibility : Applicants with any nationality, who was born in or after 1st of January 1992 are eligible to submit their works.
Instrumentation : The composition must be scored for orchestra in any format but must include woodwind, brass, percussion and string sections and must be within the following instrumentation:
Flute 2 (double picc)
Oboe 2 (double English horn)
Clarinet 2 (double Bass Clarinet)
Bassoon 2 (double Contrabassoon)
F.Horn 4
Trumpet 2
Trombone 2
B.Trombone 1
Tuba 1
Timpani 1 Timpani 5
Percussion 3 Bass Drum, Glockenspiel, Xylophone,
Marimba, Vibraphone, Cymbal, Wind Charm, Gong,
Konga – Bongo, Woodbox, Triangle
Violin1 10
Violin2 10
Viola 8
Cello 6
DoubleBass 5
Duration : Composition must be between 8 -15 minutes in length.

The applicant must also include the following materials in the application form:
1. One original composition in PDF format (Score and Parts)
2.A recording of the composition in high quality audio digital format (optional; MIDI file is also acceptable.)
3. A short biography (250 words)
4. Program note or description of the composition describe the story based your composition upon.
5. Curriculum Vitae
6. Picture
Application Deadline 11th March 2022
Concert : The selected composition will be performed by Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music Youth Orchestra on SUN. April 10, 2022 at Sangita Vadhana Hall, Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, under the baton of renowned conductor, Peter Veale.

The PGVIM will be able to provide 3-night accommodation and local transportation from hotel to the venue.

Jury : The jury is comprised of a number of internationally recognized composers.
Selection : The selected composition will be announced no later than March 20th, 2022 on the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music Youth Orchestra website and Facebook official page.
Award : The selected composer will be awarded an honorarium of 1,000 US Dollars.
Other Regulations : 1. The score must not have been published, awarded, or commercially recorded.
2. Only one entry per person is allowed.
3. The composer’s name should not appear on the score. It will be screened anonymously by the jury.
4. Alterations to the score are not permitted after entry, unless there is a request for a change from the conductor or jury to solve any problems in terms of practical performance.
5. Submitted score will not be returned.
